Quilting by Louisa is located
exactly halfway between our coasts in the Heartland of America; Kearney,
Nebraska, 1733 miles from Boston and 1733 miles from San Francisco.
Louisa Renchen learned to sew at the age of
8 and started winning purple ribbons at the county fairs early on.
Great Grandma Ida, Grandma Dora and Auntie Mildred were all eager to
teach young Louisa, who loved to experiment with fabric, sewing
and quilting every opportunity she had.
Now an accomplished quilter and long arm machine
specialist, Louisa is active with local quilters, and is member
of the
International Machine Quilters Association,
Nebraska State
Quilt Guild, American Quilter's Society, Country Crossroads
Quilt Guild, Kearney Quilters Guild, Greater Omaha Longarm
Support, and Volunteers for
Quilts of Valor. |

Louisa
is very proud and honored to be involved with "Quilts
of Valor." Donating her time, materials, and skill is a
very small token of appreciation that Louisa can do to give back,
continuing the tradition of "Quilting Honor and Comfort or our Wounded
Soldiers."
